Usage Data refers to data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the Service or from the Service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).
You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.

Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service.

a. Information You Provide
- Sleep Data: When you use SleepNow to track your sleep patterns, we may collect data such as sleep duration, bedtime, and wake-up times. This data is stored locally on your device unless you choose to sync it with a cloud service (if applicable).
- User Preferences: Settings such as notification preferences or app customization options.
b. Automatically Collected Information
- Device Information: We collect device-specific information, including device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers (e.g., IDFA if permitted), and network status.
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with the App, such as features used, time spent, and crash reports.
- Analytics Data: We use Firebase Analytics to collect anonymized data about app usage, such as session duration and feature interactions, to improve the App.
- Advertising Data: If you consent to personalized ads via Apple’s App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt, we collect an Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) to serve targeted ads through Google Mobile Ads. Non-personalized ads are served if you opt out.
- Push Notification Data: We use Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send push notifications, which may include an APNs device token and FCM token to deliver notifications like app update prompts.
c. Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not collect sensitive personal information such as your name, email address, or health data beyond sleep patterns unless explicitly provided by you.
- We do not collect location data unless you enable location-based features (if applicable).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information for the following purposes:
- Provide and Improve the App: To track sleep patterns, deliver personalized sleep insights, and enhance app performance.
- Push Notifications: To send notifications about app updates, reminders, or sleep tips. For example, notifications with an "update_app" key prompt you to update the App via the App Store.
- Personalized Ads: If you consent via ATT, we use your IDFA to serve personalized ads through Google Mobile Ads. Non-personalized ads are served if you opt out.
- Analytics: To analyze app usage and performance using Firebase Analytics, helping us improve features and fix issues.
- Compliance and Security: To comply with legal obligations and protect the security of the App and its users.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information as follows:
- Service Providers: With third-party services like Google (for ads and analytics) and Firebase (for notifications and analytics), subject to their privacy policies:

4. App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
For users on iOS 14.5 or later, we request permission to track your device’s IDFA for personalized advertising through Google Mobile Ads. You can:
- Allow Tracking: Enable personalized ads tailored to your interests.
- Deny Tracking: Receive non-personalized ads that do not use your IDFA. You can manage your tracking preferences in the App’s settings or your device’s Settings > Privacy > Tracking.
5. Push Notifications
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging to send push notifications, such as reminders to update the App. These notifications may include a custom "update_app" key that, when tapped, redirects you to the App Store to download the latest version. You can manage notification preferences in the App or your device’s Settings.
6. Data Retention
- Sleep Data: Stored locally on your device until you delete the App or clear data. Cloud-synced data (if enabled) is retained as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.
- Analytics and Ad Data: Anonymized data is retained by Firebase and Google Mobile Ads as per their retention policies.
- Device Tokens: APNs and FCM tokens are retained only as long as necessary to deliver notifications.
Delete Your Personal Data
You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You.
Our Service may give You the ability to delete certain information about You from within the Service.
You may update, amend, or delete Your information at any time by signing in to Your Account, if you have one, and visiting the account settings section that allows you to manage Your personal information. You may also contact Us to request access to, correct, or delete any personal information that You have provided to Us.
Please note, however, that We may need to retain certain information when we have a legal obligation or lawful basis to do so.
Disclosure of Your Personal Data
Business Transactions
If the Company is involved in a merger, acquisition or asset sale, Your Personal Data may be transferred. We will provide notice before Your Personal Data is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.

If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 13 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from Our servers.
